The Class B motorhome comes on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis that offers the legendary handling and design that is Mercedes-Benz. The Airstream and Mercedes-Benz brand names are synonymous with luxury and the 2012 Interstate Touring Coach fuses together the best the automotive and RV industries have to offer. The Sprinter chassis offers a 3.0 liter V-6 diesel engine which gets 30% better fuel economy than a comparable gasoline engine. Airstream also looked to the interior of the coach to increase efficiency. The 3.1 cubic-foot refrigerator is cooled by an AC/DC compressor that uses 90% less energy than conventional RV models and interior lighting consists of LED's which greatly reduce power consumption over normal lighting.
